With over forty years of combined cross‑cultural experience—and a marriage that itself bridges cultures—we’ve learned firsthand how deeply culture shapes communication, learning, and growth. Our journey has shown us that successful coaching and training outcomes don’t happen by chance; they emerge when cultural awareness is woven into every conversation, every strategy, and every relationship.
We understand the subtle ways culture influences motivation, leadership, and connection, and we bring that insight into every coaching session. Whether working with individuals, teams, or organizations, we help people see beyond differences to discover shared values, build trust, and create lasting transformation across cultures.
Our approach begins with a simple belief: people grow best in spaces where their culture, identity, and lived experience are honoured. We don’t offer one‑size‑fits‑all coaching. Instead, we listen deeply, adapt intentionally, and work alongside you to uncover the strengths, stories, and perspectives that shape who you are. By blending cultural intelligence, reflective questioning, and practical tools, we help individuals and teams communicate with clarity, navigate complexity, and build bridges across differences. Whether you’re stepping into leadership, navigating cross‑cultural environments, or seeking personal clarity, our approach is relational, grounded, and designed to empower real, sustainable transformation and growth.
Born and raised in the Fiji Islands, educated in cultural anthropology in Australia, and a Post Graduate diploma in professional coaching in New Zealand have given me insights and tools to work with across different cultures. Having worked with various cultures in my adopted home country New Zealand, as well as across South Asia, I have had the privilege of learning from countless personal interactions with diverse cultures. These experiences have taught me that culture is a subtle yet powerful influence—shaping how people think, act, communicate, and interpret the world around them.
Beyond the joy of sharing delicious cross‑cultural meals, I am continually fascinated by how different cultures approach leadership, relationships, and problem‑solving. Culture is not static; it evolves, and so must coaching and training. Recognizing and adapting to these cultural shifts is one of the foundations of effective coaching and meaningful transformation.
My work today is shaped by this lifelong journey even in a cross-cultural marriage: helping people navigate cultural differences with confidence, empathy, and insight so they can thrive wherever they are.
Originally from Germany, I have lived and worked across three different continents. I have a background in nursing, a TESOL teaching certificate as well as being an ICF accredited coach. All of these different work experiences have brought people from many cultures and backgrounds across my path which has given me a love for cultures and lots of insightful learning experiences. I am passionate about helping others develop their full potential and thrive in their life and work contexts. Working with people from different cultural backgrounds is a passion of mine, as I believe there is so much more to learn from one another. In my free time, I enjoy exploring the outdoors, visit historical places, as well as chatting with friends over a cup of coffee.
Cultures in Conversation,is a department of KEA Consulting, exists to help people bridge differences with curiosity, empathy, and courage. We create spaces where diverse voices can meet, be heard, and grow together—transforming cultural complexity into deeper understanding, stronger relationships, and more meaningful collaboration through Coaching and Training.
Why KEA? Because Kea reminds us that curiosity is the gateway to discovery. Just as this clever New Zealand parrot explores its alpine world with fearless energy—testing, learning, and playing—we too can approach life with that same spirit of wonder. The Kea’s boldness and intelligence show that growth comes from asking questions, trying new things, and seeing challenges as opportunities. When we embrace curiosity like a Kea, we open our minds to new perspectives, deepen our understanding of ourselves and others, and turn everyday experiences into adventures of learning and connection.
